What is Truth?

Pilate asked Jesus the question what is truth? I doubt he was sincere, but nonetheless, it is a great question to ask. Here are some things to ponder on about truth:

Truth corresponds with the facts, it matches its onject, and it tells it like it is. All truth claims are absolute, narrow and exclusive. Even the claim that “every religion is true” excludes its opposite. The thought that 2+2=4 is narrow minded. Of all of the infinte numbers there is only one answer.
Truth is discoverd, not invented. It exists independently of anyone’s knowledge of it. For example gravity existed prior to Newton.

Beliefs cannot change a fact, no matter how sincerely they are held. I can sincerely believe the world is flat, but that only makes me sincerely wrong.

Truth is trans-cultural. Being raised in a given cultural doesn’t make their beliefs true. For example being raised a Nazi doesn’t make Nazism true. One’s attitude doesn’t change the truth. Objective truth can’t be denied.
